KHAME
Branding, product design, sustainability
May 2020
As a member of one of the teams in the project Helios, led by the Director of Design of Tesla Motors, Javier Verdura, my team designed a modular shoe that can be worn three ways and is 100% 3D printed using all ecologic and sustainable materials for its production.
The name of the brand comes from the chameleon, a reptile that adapts its physical traits to its surroundings depending on the habitat and situation it is encountering. They also have a long tongue, which helps them eat and gives them support by wrapping it around food and tree stems, just like the ties around the KHAME shoe.
The logo has all the letters of the name hidden in its icon and follows the same pattern used in the shoe, pop-up store, website, and other applications of the brand. The look is modern, organic, and clean, just like the KHAME shoe.
In Collaboration with Gabriela Galván (Sustainability Engineer), Ana Paula Rodríguez (Interior Design), Bárbara Martínez (Graphic Design), Kim Romero (Animation), Mariana Neri (Industrial Design), Sol Maidana (Fashion Design) and Mariana González (Architecture).
