Week 3
August 10 - August 11
The final week at UAL was
overwhelming, exciting, and challenging. This final week was all hands-on action and making sure the project was ready for print Wednesday morning. So I had a couple of days to put a magazine together. After a very intense and stressful creative block, I finally had a final product I was proud of.
< This is how the document started. After much consideration, I changed the grid, the type, and the overall look and feel to achieve a more readable and interesting piece.
Printing proofs were essential to make sure size, grids, and margins were working all right.
Seeing the final result was amazing. It was such a rewarding moment getting to see all that we accomplished in 12 days. I learned so much about myself, my teachers, and my classmates. For sure, one of the biggest and most stressful challenges I’ve endured in my design studies, but definitely one of the most rewarding.
Wembley Stadium, the place I chose as the theme for my project, has always been so interesting to me. I got to investigate so much about the history of the stadium and every major event that has taken place there. I imagine the magazine being handed out at the venue so people can quickly get to know the stadium’s history better, in a clear and engaging way.
